My name is Emilee Klausner…Welcome to fourth grade! Don’t tell anyone, but at this point, I've been teaching longer than my students have been alive.
Fourth grade is packed with adventure. We'll discover why earthquakes shake the ground beneath our feet, how volcanoes can create new land (while making a spectacular mess), conquer fractions, and travel back in time to experience the excitement, courage, and challenges of the American Revolution. Along the way, we'll ask questions, solve problems, and laugh lots.
I hope my classroom is a place where curiosity is celebrated, mistakes are part of learning, and every student has something important to contribute. As Pollyanna says, "There is something about everything that you can be glad about, if you keep hunting long enough to find it." Here's to a year of finding the good, embracing challenges, and making fourth grade our best adventure yet!

Fun fact: My great grandpa loved fountain pens and he passed this on to me.
Why I teach: I love watching the moment kids move from “I can’t” to “I can!!”
