From the Principal

Happy Friday, CCA Families!

Thank you all so very much for attending Parent Teacher Conferences this week! It was wonderful to see everyone and to hear the celebrations about the students' successes and growth. If you were unable to make it in this week, please contact your child's teacher to reschedule or have a phone call. Teachers will also be sending home any pertinent and exciting growth data if you are unable to reschedule so that you can celebrate with your child. Please reachout to teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

Help Student Council support Breast Cancer Awareness month next Friday by wearing pink for "CCA Pink Out Day". If you are able and feel called to do so, they are also raising funds to donate to "Hope Lives!", an organization in Weld and Larimer counties that helps support breast cancer patients and survivors. CCA StuCo has donated nearly $1000 to this wonderful group over the last three years, thanks to you, our amazing CCA families. Thank you!!

FYI:
  • Colder Weather: With colder weather starting to move in, please be sure your child has proper outerwear. Students need fresh air and movement throughout the day, so we take them outside for recess as often as possible. Above 20 degrees, not blowing children through the air due to strong winds, and not actively raining/snowing/sleeting are all fair game days.
  • Halloween Celebrations: Many classes will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 30 this year. Students may wear costumes all day as long as they do not interfere with the learning in classrooms. Masks may only be worn during the costume parade. Props must be kept with teachers until the costume parade. No weapons. Please be mindful of scary details in costumes, as we do have young students and younger siblings who visit on these special days.

Have a wonderful weekend! It is looking like a beautiful one!
