Important Dates: Tonight: 5:00-We Care Event at WCHS* Info Below May 5 - WCHS FFA Flower sales in CCA Parking Lot 3:30pm May 5-6:30- Director Meet and Greet May 7 - WCHS Senior Walk through CCA May 13 - Bookmobile - Spring Music Program Grades 3-8 @ CCA Gym 2:45 p.m. May 19 - 3-5th grade Field Trip Museum (PTO Sponsored) May 20 - BOD meeting 5:30pm CCA library May 22 - Last Day of School May 22 - CCA Returning Student Registration Due Field Trip Info: We will be heading into the Planetarium and the Special Dino Exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on May 19th. I will be sending a sign up with further details. We Care: $5.00 buys you a ticket to the Parking Lot Palooza and includes: -Hot dog bar with all the toppings (chili dog, sauerkraut, Chicago style, etc.) -Chips -Lemonade or Tea -Each school's PTO is providing outdoor games such as spike ball and cornhole. -There will also be a DJ with music spanning the decades! Dirty Sodas are available for an additional charge, as are We Care T-shirts. 100% of proceeds support Weld RE3J students, families, and staff members experiencing hard times.
Academics: CKLA This week we will continue to construct our Constitution foldable as we learn about the ways our Founding Father's ideas constructed our government.
Math We will continue our work with decimals and think about how decimals and fractions are related.
Riggs We will resume riggs testing (for real this time) with some review lists that center around the book Pollyanna. Tuesday: List 31 Wednesday: List 32 Thursday: List 33 Friday: Spelling Sparkle.
Science: Ask your child what an example of renewable energy is and what an example of non-renewable energy is. Students will be researching different types of energy and creating a poster to show the benefits and costs of each. I will be suppling an experiment for each type of energy. |
