Letter From Administration

Happy Friday, CCA Families!

We made it, and what a week we have had! The "sick bug" has hit again. The biggest symptoms seem to be fever, headache, and stomach ache. Please help us stop the spread of this bug by keeping children at home until they are fever free without medication for 24 hours or until symptoms subside for 24 hours. We know it is tough to keep them home when they seem to be feeling better, but those extra few hours can make all the difference so that we don't have to call you back to the school later. A huge shoutout to our amazing CCA Team for pulling together to keep our students educated and safe as we also battle the "bug".

We would like to welcome Ms. Joann Eisenman back to our team as a long-term sub in our third grade classroom while Mrs. Buchholz is out on leave. Change can be challenging, but the transition is going well.

Thank you to all who donated pies to classes in celebration of Pi Day (a day early). Students learn early on that 3.14 is Pi in math, whether they fully understand what it means or not, because of your generous donations. We all got in on the deliciousness, and we are so grateful to be a part of the exciting learning happening at CCA.

We wrapped up our week with a shark dissection in Middle School and a joint field trip to the Butterfly Pavilion for second and seventh grade students (see our "Spotlight" below). What a week!

Have a glorious weekend! Stay well!

Team CCA!

Mrs. Johnson guides her sixth and eighth grade students through a shark dissection every year. What is a shark's favorite dish? Fish and ships!

Butterflies, sea creatures, and spiders?!

Second and seventh graders enjoyed a day in the forests and gardens at the Butterfly Pavilion. Seeing the "big kids" buddy up with and guide the "little kids" is always a heartwarming sight. And they got to hold Rosie! Mrs. Cole says, "NO THANK YOU!"

From the Board

Happy Friday CCA! Last Friday we had the pleasure of attending the annual PTO Spring Dinner and seeing many of you there. Thank you all for braving the weather and showing up for this great event!

Our PTO always does an amazing job, and this year was no exception. The food options were delicious, and the Gelato that was generously donated and served by Wholly Stromboli was phenomenal!

Thank you to PTO for all of the hard work you all do. Thank you to the parents who donated to the class baskets. Thank you to Wholly Stromboli for your generous donation and for being present at this great event. And thank you to the 8th grade class for all of the hard work that you all put in to help out with serving, cleaning, and resupplying food. You did an amazing job.

Have a great weekend!
