Letter From Administration

Dear Cardinals,

First, we apologize for our newsletter being sent out late. As mentioned Friday, due to the weather, we lost internet connection. However, here is the latest and greatest from Cardinal Country.

Last week, we had the privilege of attending the Colorado League of Charter School’s Annual Conference. The event was filled with valuable opportunities to learn—both in the general sessions and in specialized breakout discussions. These insights help us stay updated on the latest educational trends and keep our school moving forward.

We are thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Lisa Rupple as this year’s Colorado League of Charter School’s Most Valuable Charter Contributor. Her dedication, spanning over 25 years at CCA, has positively impacted countless students and families. We are truly grateful for her commitment and the difference she continues to make.

With chilly weather upon us, please remember to send your children dressed warmly for school. Outdoor recess will continue unless weather conditions require a change, so coats, hats, and gloves are essential for keeping everyone comfortable and safe.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers. Your support strengthens our school community, and we couldn’t do it without you. As a gentle reminder, please refrain from bringing additional children during your volunteer hours in classrooms. This helps minimize distractions and ensures our students can focus on learning.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and commitment to making CCA a wonderful place for all. Enjoy the snowfall and stay warm!

Team CCA!

Friday's Hold

On Friday, 03/06/26, at 12:05 p.m., as a precaution, CCA was placed in a "Hold" to evaluate the well-being of a student. As a precaution, students and staff were asked to remain in their classrooms in order to keep the hallways empty. Classroom learning continued throughout the "Hold". The student was evaluated and cleared by EMS to continue the day. The "Hold" was cleared at 12:50 p.m. The safety and security of your children is our top priority.

From the SAC

Our School Accountability Committee met on Wednesday, March 4. We continue to revisit our Strategic Plan, with ongoing areas of focus including: Academic Performance, Culture, Governance, and Finance.

We are working to establish an overall vision, as well as 1-year and 3–5-year visions for each of these areas. Thank you to our SAC members, along with additional participants, as we continue to work diligently on rewriting our Strategic Plan.

From the Board

Happy Friday CCA! This past Monday, we had a group of Architects, Engineers, and Contractors out to perform a maintenance assessment on our facilities at CCA. They are working through everything currently, but as soon as their report is ready we will make it available to you.

The group noted that our facilities are in good condition, considering their age. That is a testament to all of the care that our staff has shown our facilities over the years, and the pride that everyone takes in our school. We will share their findings and recommendations when they become available.

We also wanted to remind families of our grievance policy which can be found in the comprehensive handbook on our website. Any and all issues that arise should follow the proper chain of command. The handbook states:

The CCA Board of Directors believes that complaints and grievances are best handled and resolved as close to their origin as possible. Therefore, the proper channeling of complaints involving instruction, discipline or learning materials will be as follows:

1. Teacher
2. CCA Director
3. CCA Board of Directors

Any complaint about school personnel shall always be referred back through proper channels before it is
presented to the Board of Directors for consideration and action.

Please follow this chain of command if any issues arise.

Thank you!
