Letter From Administration

Dear Families,

What a wonderful start we’ve had since returning from break! We are thrilled to share the positive momentum that continues to build within our school community. The vibrant energy in our hallways and classrooms is truly inspiring, and it’s evident that we are progressing together with enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose.

Our classrooms are alive with engaging lessons, thoughtful discussions, and hands-on activities that spark curiosity. We are continually impressed by our teachers’ dedication. They work tirelessly to foster an environment where every student feels empowered to ask questions, solve problems, and take meaningful risks in their learning.

This month, we have seen our students step up as leaders, collaborators, and innovators. They are developing not only academic skills, but also the resilience and character that will serve them for life. Whether they are tackling challenging projects or supporting each other as friends and classmates, our students consistently demonstrate what it means to be responsible citizens and creative problem-solvers. This is especially evident as we recognize our Top Performers for the first semester! These students have shown outstanding commitment to their studies, positive attitudes, and a willingness to go above and beyond. Their hard work is a shining example for all of us, and we celebrate their achievements with great pride. Congratulations to each of our Top Performers; your achievements make our school community proud.

This past week, we hosted our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) Dads and Donuts event, which was led with warmth and enthusiasm by Mrs. Minne. The turnout was incredible. It was truly heartwarming to see so many dads, grandfathers, and other important male role models come together for a morning filled with connection and encouragement. Your presence means the world to our students and to us. It reinforces the vital role that positive male role models play in students' lives.

As we move forward, I am confident that our school will continue to thrive. Let’s continue this positive momentum by supporting one another and striving for excellence each day. I am grateful for the partnership we share in helping our students grow into the best versions of themselves. Wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend and an inspiring week ahead

CCA's Top Performers

We would like to take a moment to celebrate our top performing students in relation to academics AND character. Teachers took time to analyze each of their students' performance in academics through assessment data and classroom performance, as well as the character of each student. They narrowed down to the top performers in each class based on achievement and/or growth in academics, as well as those students who stand out on a daily basis displaying outstanding character around CCA, following the 8 "Cardinal" Keys of Excellence. Grades 3-8 chose the top 10% in each class, and grades K-2 chose the top 25%. Intermediate and Middle School top performing students will celebrate by visiting the United States Air Force Academy with Mr. Archuleta and Mrs. Baas. Primary students will celebrate with an ice cream party hosted by Mr. Archuleta and Mrs. Cole. Please join us in congratulating these fine students on being model students. We salute you, Students!

From the Board

Happy Friday CCA! We were happy to see a large turnout at the Dads and Donuts event for all of our watchdogs! We are in our second year of Watch D.O.G.S at CCA and the group has grown tremendously.

I want to give a big shout out to Mrs. Minne for spearheading this effort. Last year she brought the idea to Mr. Archuleta to launch a chapter of Watch D.O.G.S at CCA. Her husband was a watchdog at the school her daughters attended, and she saw the impact that it had on them to have their dad participate in this program. This is why she wanted to see it at CCA.

At the recent Dad's and Donuts breakfast, many watchdogs spoke to how they feel much more involved in their kids education and getting to see what a typical school day looks like for their child. They also spoke about the importance of getting to know the other kids in their child's class and how they interact, or how they get the opportunity to see how the school as a whole operates since they go into multiple classrooms.

It is a great program, and I would encourage anyone who is interested to reach out to Mrs. Minne for more information. It isn't a huge time commitment; they are happy to have you as long as you would like to be there. You won't regret being involved in your child's education. Have a great weekend!
