Monday PE Update 1.26.26
CCA PE CLASS
Red, Ready, and Active!
Good morning, CCA!
PE Last Week
-
Students in grades 3–8 enjoyed breaking in our new badminton equipment and kickballs! I am currently reviewing the grading rubrics that were turned in and will follow up with any students who may still be missing one. With the long gap between classes, a few were understandably forgotten. My goal is to have all rubrics submitted by next month.
-
Students in grades K–2 took on the obstacle course and I feel it was a huge success. Students cheered each other on, showed great teamwork, and helped one another safely navigate each part of the course. Lots of smiles, positive energy, and movement plus plenty of energy burned!
-
Grading rubrics were also sent home with students in 1st and 2nd grade. I did miss sending 1st grade rubrics home last week, so they should have made it home to be signed for this week. Thank you for your understanding. I am also hoping to have all rubrics returned by next month at the latest.
PE this Week:
-
Grades 3-8: The Presidential Fitness Test. Please remind students to bring water bottles and appropriate shoes.
-
Grades K–2: Coming up in PE, students will play Blob Tag, focusing on teamwork, spatial awareness, and safe movement. We will also work on throwing skills through a whole-group throwing game that emphasizes accuracy, control, and following directions.
