Monday PE Update 1.19.26
CCA PE CLASS
Soar to Be More
Good morning, CCA!
PE Last Week
-
Students in grades 3–8 received a grading rubric to review with a parent or guardian. Please take a moment to review and sign the sheet and have your student return it this week. We also started badminton in some classes, but due to equipment issues, we had to improvise. New equipment is expected this week so we can continue our badminton unit.
-
Students in grades K–2 had a great time in PE racing in teams to play a Tic-Tac-Toe bean bag game! They worked together to get three in a row while practicing teamwork and improving their throwing skills. Students also enjoyed several rounds of Sharks and Minnows and played Guess Who, a fun team game where one student was hidden and teammates worked together to figure out who it was.
-
Grading rubrics were also sent home with students in 1st and 2nd grade. Please take time to review the rubric with your student, sign it, and have it returned at their next PE class.
PE this Week:
-
Grades 3-8: Badminton lesson and games.
-
Grades K–2: Coming up in PE, students will be navigating an obstacle course and going on a treasure hunt! They’ll practice balance, coordination, and agility while hopping, crawling, and weaving through obstacles. After the course, students will search for hidden “treasures,” working together and using problem-solving skills to collect them.
