Monday PE Update 11.17.25
CCA PE CLASS
Fly Higher Than Yesterday
Happy Monday, Cardinals! We’re entering our final stretch before Thanksgiving break, and our students are ready to fly through a fun and active week in PE.
3-8
Last week our Cardinals knocked out and recorded their shuttle runs, and we capped the week with some exciting and competitive hockey games.
Looking ahead:
Next up, our Cardinals are gearing up to complete the Presidential Fitness Test: mile run, push-ups, sit-ups, and the V-sit and reach.
K-2
The little Cardinals played ‘Turkey Tag’ again, and like with any tag game everyone wanted to be the tagger. It’s always fun seeing them throw their hands up, eager for a turn. We also worked on locomotor skills and even practiced some dance moves with the game ‘Pilgrim Place.’ Along the way, we added in some jumping jacks and push-ups to keep things fitness-focused.
Looking forward:
Our young Cardinals have been so curious about the older kids playing hockey, so I would like to introduce a safe and fun version for them: Pool Noodle Hockey! It’s the same idea as hockey but played with pool noodles and soft sponge balls, perfect for their age. Before that, we’ll kick things off with a calm and silly race called ‘How Many Scoops.’ Students will work in teams, balancing bean bags (scoops of ice cream) on their heads as they make their way to a cone (ice cream cone) and back-no hands allowed! Each new runner adds another bean bag to the stack. If they drop any, they start over. The first team to balance five bean bags wins!
