*4th Grade Weekly Update, 12-16-25*
12-16-25 Weekly Update* |
Important Dates:
Academics: This is a wrap up week-many items are a continuation. Writing: This week your 4th grader will take a more in-depth look at the Ute. They will be writing about the important contributions this group of people made to Colorado.
Grammar: We will continue to work on mastering subject pronouns and enter into the realm of "You Understood". These sentences are generally commands where the subject is implied. "Empty the dishwasher" is an excellent example. Your student knows you are talking to them, you just don't name them as the subject of the sentence. See if your kiddo can give you a couple of these.
CKLA Our poetry challenge continues. This week we will take a look at the works of Walt Whitman and Joy Harjo.
Math: Students will wrap up their foray into long division this week. We will have a test on Tuesday. We will continue our study of lines, angles and angle measures.
Riggs: Riggs time will be used to work on our Sayings and Phrases for 4th Grade. Idioms and Adages are about as handy as a pocket on a shirt, so we will brush up on these fun and festive phrases. |
