Kindergarten News 3-20-26
*Mrs. Hyberg left here Wednesday with plans to be induced Sunday evening, but her little boy had different plans. He was born last night at 11:20 p.m.! He came in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 inches long. He is absolutely adorable; I'll share a picture with the kids this morning.
*Wow, this year is sure flying by! Counting today, we have five days until Spring Break. With Mrs. Hyberg out, we will have a variety of aides filling in over the course of the next week; however, after Spring Break, we will have a permanent sub, Mrs. Karissa DeJournett, who happens to be Mrs. Hyberg’s mom! Mrs. DeJournett has spent quite a lot of time in Kindergarten over the years and I know she will nicely transition to this role for the remainder of the school year.
*If you haven’t returned your child’s Easter egg with the 3 clues yet, please do so on Tuesday. This will be a fun activity leading up to Spring Break & Easter!
*With all the sickness this year, we have wiped out our classroom supply of Kleenex. If you could donate a box, we would be so grateful…thank you!
*Relay for Life is next week. Detailed info is at the bottom of this newsletter, but the themed dress up days are in the date list below. It’s our goal to raise $2500 for the American Cancer Society over the course of the week.
*Please note, as part of our commitment to supporting every learner at CCA, students who are experiencing difficulty with a specific math skill may receive additional short-term support from Mrs. Minne, CCA’s math aide. This small group or individualized instruction is designed to reinforce skills, build confidence, and help students reach grade-level expectations. Once a student demonstrates improved understanding, they will transition out.
*Don’t forget…Dad’s Day is quickly approaching. It’ll be the Friday after Spring Break. We’ll begin promptly at 2:15. Every child needs an adult to show up for them, so if dad cannot make it, please plan for another adult to come in Dad’s place. Thank you so much! The Kindergarten, 1st Grade & 2nd Grade Spring Program will begin in the gym at 3:00 that same day. Moms, grandparents & younger siblings are welcome to attend that.

If we reach this goal, Mr. Archuleta and Mrs. Cole will have a surprise they will do for the school! We have some fun dress-up days planned; please send cash or check donations (payable to the American Cancer Society) if your child plans to dress up: $5 for the week due on Tuesday or a donation amount of your choosing.
