Weekly Ag Update - February 23, 2026
We are coming down from our post-National FFA Week HIGH!!!!
Check out pictures from our Staff Appreciation bouquets!!!
Ag Weekly Reminders:
- Assignments:
- Please check for any missing assignments and reach out with questions or concerns! All grades to this point are entered. Any missings should be taken care of over break or will result in a zero.
- Thank you to all our staff and parents who donated vases, food, or time this week to serve others during National FFA Week!
- Farmer's Breakfast for National FFA Week was a hit by students and guests alike! Your students came up with 2-3 questions to ask local farmers and ranchers. We used these as table conversation starters as we enjoyed breakfast with our guests. We introduced ourselves, our interest(s) in ag, and our future career! Farmers shared with us how they got started, their hardships or challenges, future advice, and challenged us to ask others questions and spend time with individuals and careers we are interested in!! We could not host this event without our students, families who support students interested in agriculture, and our program/school! THANK YOU !!!
- Thank you to CattleGrounds coffee for serving our farmers and their unwavering support of our school and program!
- Weld Central CDE Volunteer and Extracurricular Opportunity!
- 7th and 8th grade students were invited to assist with the Livestock Judging Contest at Weld Central CDEs.
- Historically, we have only offered this opportunity to 7th and 8th graders. 6th grade Ag students will have the opportunity to assist next year!!!!
- We need at least 4-5 7th/8th graders to participate.
- We are in need of 2-3 adult volunteers if anyone is interested in serving on March 13!
- This event is treated like a field trip, therefore, missing work will need to be gathered from teachers beforehand and students will be responsible for turning in missing work prior to attending.
- Permission forms should be returned March 3.
- Additional information will be sent out once permission forms are returned. Participating students and parents will receive more information.
- Please send me any questions or concerns you have about the event. This is a great opportunity for students to interact with FFA students, learn about opportunities at the high school level, work with livestock, and broaden their knowledge of agriculture.
- Carlie is our Ag Student Spotlight for the next two weeks!
