Weekly Ag Update - November 17, 2025
A couple reminders:
- A HUGE thank you to CSU Spur and Tamber Arvizo for all our fun and learning last Wednesday!
- Thank you to Stacie Powers for supplying crockpots for our canning lab.
- Students learned about urban agriculture and greenhouses, where our food comes from and how long it takes to get to us, how to market food products, water usage and conservation strategies in food, and use of senses and food panelists in food creation at CSU!
- Students got to create their own personalized can in the canning lab and walk through the process from start to finish!
- Students should NOT open their canned food for 6 weeks, at minimum.
- Attached is the link to order agriculture t-shirts from our program: Simply Cowgirl by SN
- Our last three years of t-shirts are on the website and available to order.
- We are very thankful for Sara and Cattlegrounds Coffee for our custom t-shirts! A donation of the proceeds will go back to our program if you choose to order. Thank you again, Sara Neill!
- Ag Student Spotlight:
- Research shows that students who receive recognition and spotlight at school have a deeper connection and engagement in academics. Therefore, to honor and highlight each of the unique attributes and talents of students in our agricultural class we will be sharing a student spotlight every couple weeks during the school year. Each student will get to share their uniqueness! This will be featured in the middle school hallway Ag board and in PS.
- Meet our student spotlight, Cora!
