Happy December,

The feast before break was so fun! Thank you all for making that happen.

The next three weeks will feel like the last lap in Mario Cart where the music gets really fast. We still have a lot to squeeze in before our next break. I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and a relaxing break. I can’t wait to hear all the stories. :)

Please take a moment to fill out the mid-year survey that Mr. Archuleta posted. As a member of the School Accountability Committee, I can guarantee that we take those surveys seriously. We just need more people to fill them out!

Academics

Math:

We start chapter 5 in math. This chapter covers patterns in multiplication and keeps diving into fact practice.

Fact fluency: Our fact challenge is underway. Students can earn prizes for passing each level of multiplication 0-10’s.

CKLA:

We start the light and sound domain, where students learn about the qualities of light and sound and how it is all made.

Literacy:

We will read about Light and Sound in our readers.

RIGGS:

Keep an eye out for spelling bee participants.

Tuesday: test 128 A, Wednesday: test 128 B, Thursday: test 129

Writing:

Narrative Writing.

$20 question: By telling me the answer to this question at an appropriate time, students can earn an extra $20 classroom cash.
